Clearly one pregnancy shoot with April was not enough for me.
April and I had talked about a couples pregnancy shoot initially, but it was hard to align all 3 of our schedules, so we decided to do April + baby solo. I’m so glad we managed to make it happen, though – April + Brian were up for a fun, playful, and more “urban” pregnancy shoot. And it gave me the chance to photograph the beautiful Union Station yet again.
I love the activity and movement all around April + Brian with these shots at Union Station. (Begin photographer’s note – I did not use a tripod for these shots, although I probably should have. I don’t normally bring one along since it’s not really my shooting style. But in the end I love the effect of the blurring and the soft focus – end photographer’s note).
We took advantage of the unexpected sunshine (it was supposed to rain all day) and walked over to Olvera Street:
This one is probably my favorite from the day – such a sweet moment.
This last series of photos is just fun:
Don’t these two just look so happy? Married over 10 years, and still madly in love and eager to meet their little girl. I’m very honored to have photographed April’s pregnancy two times now – I know she and Brian have waited a long time for this baby – and Miette is almost here!
April and Brian thank you for such a lovely afternoon!
First of all, in my defense who could resist walking through this gorgeous, sunny orange grove? I was obedient in that I did not take a single orange home with me. I did kind of ignore the signs, though, that mentioned even walking through might be kinda, sorta, well – trespassing. So readers you get to be the judge – take a look at my photo shoot with Jacob + Christina and you tell me if my minor infraction was worth getting mad dogged by a park ranger (who was actually very nice about letting us finish up in the orange grove before telling us to beat it).
Christina is 38 weeks pregnant here. Hard to believe, I know. She is just radiant, isn’t she?
How cute are these two?
See? My trespassing was SOOO justifiable right??
Jacob and Christina I hope you are well rested and ready for your baby girl – or if you are reading this and she is already here, I hope you are enjoying your new little one!
