• I LOVE that chandelier! I'm inspired to spray paint our less than attractive dining room fixture now...

My passport is sad.  It’s been over 4 years since it has seen the light of day.  No visa stamps, no handling by customs agents, no action whatsoever.  I’m not sure when my passport will get out and see the world again – it’s hard to imaging flying anywhere internationally with 2 kids under the age of 5.  So passport, this one’s for you – let’s reminisce about our month-long journey to Spain:

Ah, Barcelona – one of my favorite cities on the planet.

Passport, you know my obsession with churches, basilicas, cathedrals, etc.  If I stumble upon a church in any European city, I must go in and check it out.

Loved visiting the mountains about an hour north of Salobrena, Spain.

It’s a good thing I like jamon (ham) – it’s everywhere in Spain.

Beautiful Granada.

The Feria de Abril in Sevilla – talk about some good people watching.

It’s safe to say we ate well in Spain…

La Mezquita – to this day one of the most fascinating places I’ve visited.

Ah passport, until next time.  Perhaps a bride would like to take us to Italy for her wedding (hint hint…)

The bride’s shoes are just a hint of this fun & colorful wedding.  More coming soon…

It was the day every bride dreams of: bright blue skies, warm sunshine, and just a hint of ocean breeze.  Truly the perfect day for Elisa + Britt’s seaside wedding at Crystal Cove State Beach.

If I could get married again, I would for sure get me a pair of killer heels like Elisa’s…

um, hello gorgeous bride!

Britt’s mom designed all of the wedding flowers.

Elisa + Britt wanted a simple and sophisticated wedding with their family and close friends.  No fuss, no muss – just love, laughter, and some really good food.  It was, simply put, a perfect day.

Congratulations you two – enjoy your honeymoon in Mexico!

I can’t wait to show you more from this wedding – a picture perfect day at the beach.

I had the pleasure of second shooting with Michael Fletcher this past Saturday – a simple yet beautiful wedding at a gorgeous private home in Los Angeles.  I really enjoy second shooting – I love capturing the sort of “behind the scenes” view of the wedding day. Alicia and Oliver were very calm and laid back on their wedding day – they were clearly overjoyed to share their wedding day with their closest family and friends.  And it’s obvious these two are very much in love.

I shoot 100% in color at weddings, but as I shot most of these images, I knew they would look best in black and white – I love how black and white photos can tell a powerful yet intimate story.
